Portland Youth Dance Company, originally named Upbeat Feet Dance Company, is a pre-professional youth dance company comprised of serious young dancers from the community at large. The PYD Company is comprised of 2 levels:
- Company: Intermediate and advanced dancers aged 12-18
- Company II: Intermediate dancers aged 10-18.
Open auditions for Portland Youth Dance Company are held each fall for the following scholastic year, for dancers between the ages of 10 and 18. Members of this Company are given superior technical instruction, outstanding and diverse choreography, numerous performance and traveling opportunities, and direct involvement with our community Outreach Program.
